Children’s Ministry – Kids Only

At Light of the World, we provide an environment of understanding and acceptance where kids can experience growth, development, and learning at their own pace. In this environment, they are encouraged to develop self-control, to listen to and follow directions, to develop a sense of responsibility, and to get along with others.

Our goal is to partner with families by providing age appropriate learning through basic Bible stories, crafts, singing, videos, and group interaction. These activities focus on the need to evangelize, pray, read God’s word, and enjoy Him all the days of their lives. Our ministry touches and strengthens families when we cultivate an enduring love for Jesus Christ in the lives of their children.

Youth Ministry – Young Adults & Teens Only

Youth ministry requires fervor, fortitude, and faithfulness – revealing the sacred in the midst of the chaos of adolescence and walking faithfully with young people as they transition from child to young adult. It is a bridging ministry of education, connection, formation, and ultimately, transformation.

Responding to the spiritual needs of teens is about building trusting relationships. Light of the World Christian Fellowship strives to walk with young people on their journey from childhood to adulthood, recognizing their gifts for ministry, their questions about spirituality, and their desire to make a difference in the world. Our Youth Ministry is dedicated to building regional and international networks to invite, inspire, affirm, and equip young people for discipleship and Christian leadership in their lives and their communities.

Ladies Ministry – Women & Young Ladies Only

The main purpose of the Ladies’ Ministry of Light of the World is to empower, strengthen, and encourage women to their full potential in God by assisting them in acquiring a greater knowledge and understanding of God. The ministry provides opportunities for women to identify and use their unique, God given gifts for the purpose of harvesting other women for God’s kingdom.

The Ladies’ Council facilitates monthly meetings to study, pray, organize and develop programs, and share God’s word. Additionally, the council creates a place for women to retreat from their busy lives to engage in fellowship with other women of God. The council also assist women to establish and maintain an effective prayer life by offering workshops, literature, and other resources.

Men’s Ministry – Men & Young Men Only

Men’s Ministry is the active pursuit of men in order to connect them to God, His Word, and other men for the purpose of winning, growing, and training God’s man in Christ. At Light of the World, men are encouraged to accept the biblical call to be authentic men who reject passivity, accept responsibility, lead courageously and invest in eternity.

The Men’s Council facilitates monthly meetings to study, pray, organize and develop programs, and share God’s word. Additionally, the council creates an environment for men to escape from their busy lives to engage in fellowship with other men of God. The council also assist men to establish and maintain an effective prayer life by offering workshops, literature, and other resources.

Couples’ Ministry – Couples Only

Whether you are newly married, have been with your spouse for a number of years or are engaged, our Couples Ministry reinforces the covenant of marriage. Married and engaged couples are ministered to through classes, counseling, workshops, seminars, panel discussions, social outings and much more. Building and maintaining strong healthy marriages is the central theme of this ministry.

Our goal is to balance the need to grow together as a couple with the need to gather with other couples for accountability, encouragement, and support. Here at Light of the World, we believe that God designed marriage as a lifelong commitment that offers one of life’s greatest opportunities for personal and spiritual growth.
